Abstract
Success of
learning is purpose of learning process. One of factor which can influence its
the success is family (parents’ attention). Research reports express that there
is the relation of parents’ attention with achievement of child learning but other research
exhibit that there is no relation between parents’ attention
with achievement of child learning. This research aim to know; (1) Parents’ attention
who is received students (2) Students’ achievement (3) Influence of parents’
attention who is received students to students’ achievement. Parents’ attention
is motivation given by parents to child. Form of parents’ attention to grow and increases
spirit of child learning, that are as provider, problem solver, teacher, model. This
research applies survey method with approach of cross sectional and simple
regression analysis. Total sample 113 respondents. Result of research, that are
parents’ attention that is very is paid attention; as provider is location place of practice of child (53.1%); as problem
solver is advises that child to learn very seriously (67.3%); and as
teacher is explains the importance of learning (65.5%). Responder
majority (89.4%) gets predicate hardly gratifies. Based on data R Square 0.040 showed
that parents’ attention has small influence to students’ achievement.

Abstrak
Keberhasilan belajar merupakan tujuan
dari proses belajar. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi keberhasilannya
adalah keluarga (perhatian orang tua). Laporan penelitian menyatakan ada
hubungan perhatian orang tua dengan prestasi belajar anak. Namun penelitian lain menyatakan,
tidak ada hubungan antara perhatian orang tua dengan prestasi belajar anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui; (1) Perhatian orang tua yang diterima mahasiswa (2) Prestasi
belajar mahasiswa (3) Pengaruh perhatian orang tua yang diterima mahasiswa
terhadap prestasi belajar. Perhatian orang tua adalah dorongan yang diberikan
oleh orang tua kepada anak. Bentuk-bentuk perhatian orang tua untuk menumbuhkan
dan meningkatkan semangat belajar anak, yaitu sebagai penyedia fasilitas/provider, pembimbing/problem solver, pendidik/teacher, teladan/model. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan cross sectional dan analisis regresi
sederhana dengan jumlah sampel 113 responden. Hasil penelitian, yaitu Perhatian
orang tua yang paling diperhatikan; sebagai provider
adalah lokasi tempat praktek anak (53,1%); Sebagai problem solver adalah nasehat agar anak belajar dengan
sungguh-sungguh (67,3%); dan sebagai teacher
adalah menjelaskan pentingnya belajar (65,5%).
Mayoritas responden (89,4%) mendapat predikat sangat memuaskan.
Perhatian orang tua mempunyai pengaruh yang kecil terhadap prestasi belajar
dengan koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,200 dan R Square sebesar 0,040.
